Tears

A couple of months ago I asked my mother if she remembered what I was like as a baby. She told me a story of a time when I was just learning to walk...I was about 12 months old. We were at a friend's house and I wanted to climb up on an ottoman. So I did. But I was unbalanced and took a tumble to the floor.

"You whimpered," my mother said, "but you didn't cry. You were so cute and so small and that ottoman was so large for you!"

She said she watched me get up with tears forming in my eyes and climb back up on the ottoman.

After I got off the phone with my mother, I went into my bedroom and bawled!

My question for you is, why?

Why would that story make someone cry decades later?

I won't answer. I want you to ponder it. In a few days I'll explain why I cried.

I think you are in a place in your life where you need to cry... Metamorphosis is painful...

Sometimes I think I cry too much.
